To make your Quarantine more stressfree I will share with you some essential substitutes for baking ingredients.

These essential baking ingredients alternatives will assist you finely in your baking during this Quarantine.

We all stuck in our home for a long period. It’s uncertain when all will go well. We don’t know when we can go out of our home.

In the meantime, our baking stocks may finish. But everything has substitutions or alternatives.

Baking ingredients are not out of them. There are many baking ingredients substitute, you may find in your kitchen. These all substitutes will give your baking as taste like the real ingredient.

50 substitutes for baking ingredients:

1. Baking powder substitute

1 teaspoon = 1/Four teaspoon of baking soda and half of teaspoon of cream of tartar.

2. Baking soda  substitute

1 teaspoon = 1 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate and 1/Three teaspoon of salt.

3. Beer substitute

1 can = 1 cup of rooster broth.

4. Breadcrumbs substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of cracker crumbs, cornflake crumbs, or rolled oats.

5. Broth substitute

1 cup = 1 bouillon dice and 1 cup of boiling water.

6. Brown sugar substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of white sugar and 1/Four cup of molasses and take away 1/Four cup of liquid from the recipe.

7. Baking substitute for butter(unsalted)

1 cup = 1 cup of shortening, lard, or vegetable oil.

8. Baking substitute for butter(salted)

1 cup = 1 cup of shortening, lard, or vegetable oil and half of teaspoon of salt.

9. Buttermilk substitute

1 cup = 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar and 1 cup of milk.

10. Cake flour substitute

1 cup = 7/Eight cup of all-purpose flour and a pair of tablespoons of cornstarch.

11. Catsup substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of tomato sauce, half of cup of sugar and a pair of tablespoons of vinegar.

12. Chocolate (unsweetened) substitute

1 ounce = Three tablespoons of pure cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of shortening, vegetable oil or unsalted butter.

13. Chocolate (sweetened)  substitute1 ounce = Three tablespoons of pure cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of shortening, vegetable oil or unsalted butter, and 1 tablespoon of sugar.

14. Chocolate chips substitute

1 ounce = 1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate and 1 tablespoon of sugar.

15. Cocoa powder substitute

Three tablespoons = 1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate, and take away 1 tablespoon of fats from the recipe.

16. Corn syrup (darkish) substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of maple syrup or 3/Four cup of light corn syrup and 1/Four cup of light molasses.

17. Corn syrup (mild) substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of honey or 1 cup of granulated white sugar and 1/Four cup of water.

18. Cornstarch  substitute

1 tablespoon = Three tablespoons of all-purpose flour.

19. Cracker crumbs substitute

1 cup = 1 1/Four cups of breadcrumbs.

20. Cream of tartar  substitute

1 teaspoon = 2 teaspoons of white vinegar or lemon juice.

21. Cream substitute(half-and-half): 1 cup = 7/Eight cup of entire milk and a pair of tablespoons of unsalted butter.

22. Cream substitute(heavy): 1 cup = 2/Three cup of entire milk and 1/Three cup of unsalted butter.

23. Cream cheese substitute

1 cup = half of cup of plain yogurt and half of cup of ricotta cheese.

24. Baking substitute for eggs

1 egg = half of teaspoon of baking powder combined with both half a pureed banana or 1/Three cup of applesauce.

25. Flour substitute(self-rising): 1 cup = 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 half of teaspoons of baking powder and 1/Four teaspoon of salt.

26. Flour substitute(entire wheat): 1 cup = 7/Eight cup of all-purpose flour and a pair of tablespoons of wheat germ.

27. Garlic substitute

1 clove = 1/Eight teaspoon of garlic powder.

28. Ghee substitute

1 tablespoon = 1 tablespoon of butter or vegetable oil.

29. Honey  substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of corn syrup, or 1 1/Four cup of sugar and 1/Four cup of water.

30. Sizzling sauce substitute

1 teaspoon = 1 teaspoon of vinegar and three/Four teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

31. Italian seasoning  substitute

1 tablespoon = 2 teaspoons of parsley, 1 teaspoon of basil, and half of teaspoon of oregano.

32. Lard substitute

1 cup = 1 cup of shortening or 1 cup of vegetable oil.

33.Lemon juice substitute

1 teaspoon = 1 teaspoon of white wine or half of teaspoon of vinegar.

34.Marshmallow cream substitute

1 ounce = Three melted marshmallows.

35. Mayonnaise substitute

  1 cup = 1 cup of yogurt, bitter cream, or pureed cottage cheese.

36.Baking substitute for milk (evaporated whole): 1 cup = 1 cup of half-and-half.

37.Baking substitute for milk(sweet condensed): 14 ounce can = 1 cup instant non-fat dry milk, 2/Three cup of sugar, half of cup of boiling water, and three tablespoons of unsalted butter.

38.Baking substitute for milk(whole): 1 cup = 1 cup of reconstituted dry milk and a pair of tablespoons of unsalted butter.

39. Molasses substitute: 1 cup = 1 cup of darkish corn syrup, or 3/Four cup of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar.

40. Mustard substitute: 1 tablespoon = 1 tablespoon of dried mustard, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of water.

41. Rice substitute: 1 cup = 1 cup of brown rice or 1 cup of barley.

42. Ricotta cheese substitute: 1 cup = 1 cup of cottage cheese.

47. Tomato sauce substitute: 1 cup = half of cup of tomato paste and half of cup of water.
